What is Chrono Gnosis?
CHRONOS — from the greek word Kronos meaning TIME
GNOSIS — from the greek word meaning KNOWLEDGE
CHRONOS + GNOSIS = KNOWLEDGE OF TIME
This is not knowledge of ordinary time, as in how time is passing by, rather it is exploring how different time cycles occurring in nature affect the human body, mind, emotions, and spirit. But also, how these cycles affect other living beings, the environment, communities and so much more. What time cycles you may ask?
To name just a few: daily cycles (day/night), lunar cycles, seasonal cycles… There are so much more, which will be discussed in further posts.
Who writes Chrono Gnosis?
My name is Edita. Born and raised in Croatia. I was always very curious, liked to explore stuff and learn new things. My field of interest always was and still is very wide. Ranging from art, history, and literature to gardening and cooking. Also interested in theology, spirituality, and philosophy to science, medicine, holistic health, nutrition, and much more.
I ended up pursuing a degree in the medical field. Today I have a bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy. The topic of my bachelor’s thesis was “Circadian Rhythms”. I fell in love with this particular field of knowledge way before I started my academic education, to write about it in my degree was a natural next step.
Why do I write it?
The reason why I find this topic to be of the utmost importance is that it really does embody all the different areas of knowledge, science, and life. The knowledge of Natural Law and Nature’s cycles is universal, it is eternal truth found throughout all the ancient civilizations. Even our ancestors were aware of these cyclical changes in nature, they understood how everything is connected, how the universe operates on a more subtle level, and how all these changes affect life on planet Earth. Nowadays science is proving this ancient wisdom and showing us how these phenomena work on a more mechanical, “material” level. This knowledge is both interesting theoretically but is also very practical and applicable in everyday life.
Learning about Nature’s laws and its cycles and syncing ourselves with it can make us healthier and happier as individuals but also more healthier, peaceful, wiser, and freer as a society.
Time and Space are intimately tied to the human mind, as it extends itself out into the world. Kant called it the a-priori and Jung described the connection between the mind with space-time as Synchronicity.
I look forward to reading more of your work!
